An excellent IDA publication is What Every Family Should Know. SWIDA recommends this publication not only for parents but for all educators as well as administrators. While many districts in our region have come a long way in diagnosing students with dyslexia, we still have many districts that are not training teachers to provide multisensory, structured language instruction that is appropriate, effective, and sufficient.
