Book Club Event: A Discussion of David Flink's Thinking Differently: An Inspiring Guide for Parents of Students with Learning Differences.
David Flink is the Co-Founder and Chief Empowerment Officer of EYE TO EYE, a non-profit mentoring movement for students with learning disabilities and ADHD. David graduated from Brown University earning Bachelor's Degrees with honors in Education and Psychology and continued on to Columbia University to earn his Master's in Disability Studies. David was diagnosed at a young age with ADHD and dyslexia. Although his parents and teachers frequently assured him that college was in the cards, he would have found that message more actionable, and useful, if it had come from a peer, a person with LD. With that in mind, he co-founded Eye to Eye, which now has 50 chapters in over 20 states nationwide.
This seminar is free and open to the public.
